“To be ‘faithful to the score’... means so much more than its literal reproduction... seen from this perspective, there is no such thing as absolute faithfulness to the score. Literacy is only half of the equation, the other half being made up of the questioning that leads us to search for and understand each part of the music in terms of the ultimate nature of the whole.”
DANIEL BARENBOIM "It is not enough to play the notes as they are written. It would be as if an actor were to sit on the stage and read a script without acting at all. In music, we also have to act… The musician has to make clear to the listener what is important in the music.” JEAN GUILLOU 'Any fool can draw a straight line ~ the art is in knowing where to bend it.' PICASSO |
"Everyone tells a story differently, and that story
should be told compellingly and convincingly. If it is not compelling and convincing, it is without value." RADU LUPU “There are no truths – only points of view.” EDITH SITWELL "The essential mission of music is to express feeling." MARCEL DUPRE |
"Apart from his great awareness of nuances, it is this gifted musician’s mastery of colour that allows him to further illuminate unimagined perspectives in often complex works.
Trinkwon earned enthusiastic applause for his technically immaculate playing and his great virtuosity. His splendid, but nevertheless subtle virtuosity combined with considerable artistic integrity to demonstrate that he is one of the really great artists of his genre.”

THE ORGAN is in truth the grandest, the most daring, the most magnificent of all instruments invented by human genius.
It is a whole orchestra in itself. It can express anything in response to a skilled touch. Surely it is, in some sort, a pedestal on which the soul poises for a flight forth into space, essaying on her course to draw picture after picture in an endless series, to paint human life, to cross the Infinite that separates Heaven from Earth!
And the longer a dreamer listens to those giant harmonies, the better he realizes that nothing save this hundred-voiced choir on earth can fill all the space between kneeling men and a God hidden by the blinding light of sanctuary. Out of the dim daylight, out of the dim silence broken by the chanting of a choir in response to the thunder of the organ, a veil is woven for God, and the brightness of His attributes shines through it.
Honoré de Balzac
